Albwardy Marine Engineering started the new building in 1997 with the construction of vessels "Abdul Aziz.K" and "Umm-Alhoul", the two harbor tugs for Qatar Gas and Petroleum Company. Since then Albwardy Marine started building variety of vessels including pleasure boats, self propelled barges, jet fuel barges, multipurpose anchor handling tugs, offshore hose handling boats , harbour and costal tugs, cutter suction dredgers and different types of work boats and mooring boats.
Albwardy Marine Engineering is a joint venture Partner of The Damen Shipyard Group since January 2008. This conglomerate of 35 shipyards in fourteen countries has increased Albwardy Marine Engineering’s sphere of activity enormously and made shipbuilding and ship repairs know how and resources that are available within the Damen Group available to Albwardy Marine Engineering.
We are able to offer our customers well proven , innovative vessels at competitive prices. AME and Damen are able to offer hulls and component from stocks leading to very short delivery times.
Since 2008 AME Acquired a new spaces in Jadaf Yard to cop up the increase in new building orders. We are delivering an average one vessel per month
